Welcome to the Labour & Palestine website. If you are a Labour Party member and want to see Labour speaking up for Palestine, this site is intended to help and support you.
Labour & Palestine is supported by Aslef, CWU, NUM, TSSA, Unison and Unite, and our founding and subsequent statements have been signed by over 20,000 Labour members from over 500 CLPs. Our founding statement can be found here and provides the framework within which we work.
Our purpose is to build solid support for Palestine – we are an independent social media platform to give support, advice and guidance to an informal network of Labour members and activists, aiming to educate, energise and harness the massive support for Palestine in the Party, so Labour becomes a proud advocate of Palestinian rights.
In order to help do this, L & P offers reliable information and campaign resources, to build positive pressure within the Party to ensure that the Party and its members stand firmly in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Labour Party Policy
More than ever – Palestine needs a strong, progressive Labour voice on its side, at a time when Palestine is subject to continued occupation and encroachment from Israel.
Support for Palestine was demonstrated very clearly at Labour Party conferences, most recently in 2021 but also 2018 and 2019, with stronger motions in solidarity with the Palestinian people being passed each time. L&P helped draft and organise support for these motions, the latest of which can be found here.
